Three new seven-story apartment buildings with a total of 401 units are now under construction by the Washington Real Estate Investment Trust at the Trove in Arlington.

The Trove is across the street from the Wellington, a 711-unit complex with three more buildings. Washington REIT in 2015 acquired the Wellington, an existing three-building apartment community, and continues to renovate the complex.

The Trove will include a range of apartment sizes from studios to three-bedroom units to provide housing options at a variety of price points. Some units have views of the Army Navy Club golf course on one side and the Washington Monument and Capitol dome on the other.

The Trove and the Wellington are next to Columbia Pike, an area with frequent bus service that is close to shops, restaurants and entertainment in Pentagon City, Arlington and downtown D.C.

It also will have a fitness center that opens into a courtyard for outdoor exercise, co-working areas, a bike maintenance and storage room and pet-grooming facilities. The community will also include a park with a bocce court shared with the surrounding neighborhood.
