The renowned actress’ seems to have died from a natural cause. No other cause has been disclosed yet.
Sean Clark indicated on Instagram, “Got the word over the weekend from Tom Atkins that his ex-wife Garn Stephens had passed away. Many of you may remember her as Marge Gutman in Halloween III: Season of the Witch. I was lucky enough to meet her back in 2004 when I interviewed her for the Halloween 25 Years of Terror documentary.”
Garn Stephens also starred in Portrait of a Rebel: The Remarkable Mrs. Sanger, The Seduction of Miss Leona, Children in the Crossfire, Killer Instinct, and Something to Live For: The Alison Gertz Story, in addition to Halloween III.
Stephens appeared in a number of iconic television shows, including “All in the Family,” “Charlie’s Angels,” “Family Ties,” “Falcon Crest” and “Quantum Leap.” She was also a credited writer on the shows “St. Elsewhere,” “Trapper John, M.D.”, “Hotel” and “Trial by Jury.” Stephens was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for her work on “St. Elsewhere.”
Garn Stephens is survived by her daughter, Spencer Baird Niemi.
